About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the CleanCo team and support our Wivenhoe Pumped Hydro Power Station and Swanbank E Gas Power Station west of Brisbane. 

As a key contributor in our HSE team, you will be responsible for providing front line support and responding to Health & Safety queries and will actively support our site teams and champion consistent standards across CleanCo.

You will support sites to identify and manage health and safety risks, develop and deliver training, undertake and review investigations, inspections and assurance activities associated with general operations and overhauls/outages.

This role will be based at either Wivenhoe or Swanbank Power Station and will be required to travel weekly to support the other site.  There is flexibility to work from home 1 day per week between site visits. 

About you

• Your experience includes providing a wide range of health and safety support and advice to a diverse range of people and locations in a similar high risk, heavy industry.
• You bring experience developing and implementing site-based improvement plans and communications.
• You have demonstrated experience working to HSE risk frameworks in a high-risk environment.
• Your strengths include your ability to champion, coach and mentor internal stakeholders and contracting partners in health and safety best practice.
• You have demonstrated experience applying legislation and regulatory requirements and have developed new processes and tools for management of site-based risks.
• You hold a tertiary qualification in health and safety or equivalent, confined space, working at heights and Return to Work Coordinator Certification.
