About the Opportunity

As a Commercial Manager with CleanCo, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial management and planning of new development projects in alignment with CleanCo's strategic objectives.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining an in-depth understanding of Queensland's renewable project pipeline and market drivers. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and managing commercial opportunities that align with CleanCo's strategic objectives. You will coordinate resources, both internal and external, to conduct thorough technical and commercial evaluations, working closely with internal Development, Delivery, Legal, and Financial teams. 

 

Leading negotiations with development partners will be a central aspect of your role, ensuring compliance with government policies, procurement, and investment guidelines. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in preparing detailed business cases for development acquisition opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and performing risk profiling.

About you

  • Experience contributing and leading broadly during the early stages of establishment to secure opportunities
  • Experience supporting and leading commercial interfaces on energy transactions and relationships
  • An existing network of contacts and collaborators across the energy (and tangential) industries
  • Project management experience, including managing technical and commercial workstreams
  • Knowledge of the National Energy Market, energy industry and competitors valued
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills critical
  • Experience in consultation, collaboration, and communication skills across a range of diverse stakeholders aligned with the culture of CleanCo
  • The ability to build strong relationships and enable the business while maintaining independence with respect to standards of risk and compliance
  • You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
